We had a great time kicking off fall this September, and I have to admit that our fishing trip will be remembered by me for a long time!  The weather was wonderful and the residents had a great time.  Thank you, Sally, Maggie, and Kim for your help making the fishing trip a success.

You may have heard rumors about a secret project that we have been working on at the facility.  Well, a few months ago Todd the RCT had an idea to make a nursing home lip sync  video, and we did!  But we want to make sure that we have all the proper copyright permissions and when they all come in we will be posting our video to our Facebook page.  It turned out so well.  Most of the residents and a lot of the staff have already seen it, and we are looking forward to sharing it with all of you soon.  So, if you haven’t already, please be sure to “Like” our Facebook page.  Just search: “Great River Care Center & Turner Pointe Assisted Living.”

October brings cooler weather, thoughts of apple pies, pumpkins, Halloween, and the upcoming holiday season!  We have our annual leaf looking trip planned for October 11th and we’re hoping for some beautiful scenery!  The Little Bulldogs will be trick-or-treating with us.  We love spending time with them and seeing their cute costumes!

The holidays are always a busy time of year, so I want to give you a few dates to mark on your calendars.

  • Resident Christmas Party – Monday, December 24th at 3pm
