Hi everyone, I'd like to take a minute to thank the families for allowing us to take care of your loved ones. Whether it is for short term rehab, or a long term stay, we enjoying getting to know everyone.

For some of you that may not know, Katlyn Poots is now our Director of Nursing, she took over this position a few months ago and she started here about 10 years ago as a CNA then got her RN and worked as a nurse on the Night Shift.

Some helpful things to remember when bringing a loved one to the nursing home:

*mark all articles of clothing with their initials using a permanent marker (if you are unable or don't remember, our staff is more than happy to do it)

*Residents are not allowed to have the following in their rooms: aerosol cans such as hairspray, deodorant, and shaving cream. Electric razors only. No scissors or letter openers (like the long silver ones) Any ointments, cough drops, otc medicine etc must have a doctors order.

*Bringing your loved one their favorite body wash, shampoo and conditioner for their scheduled Whirlpool Day is a nice extra special treat on those days (all days in between too) We do supply soap but we have found that some prefer their favorites on bath day.

As always if you have any questions or concerns please call the facility at 563-873-3527
