Important Announcement for Residents/Families who take part in Iowa Medicaid

Starting March 1^st, 2019 Iowa began introducing a new MCO (Managed Care Organization) called Iowa Total Care.  If your loved one is currently a resident here, they either have United Healthcare or Amerigroup as their MCO.  The Iowa Department of Human Services began mailing notices of either the opportunity to switch or to let you know that they will automatically switch your MCO to Iowa Total Care. Great River Care Center has not signed a contract with Iowa Total Care.  It is very important that you read the notices carefully to ensure that your MCO remains the same.
